Description

Querelle (Dera, 1985). Rolled, Very Fine. Japanese B2 (20" X 28.5"). The final film of influential German director Rainer Werner Fassbinder, Querelle holds a crucial place within LGBTQIA+ cinema. Based on Jean Genet's novel Querelle de Brest, the film boldly explores themes of desire, masculinity, and homosexuality within the context of its challenging narrative. By bringing Genet's vivid, complex expressions of queer desire to the big screen, Fassbinder significantly contributed to the visibility of LGBTQIA+ experiences in cinema. Starring Brad Davis, Franco Nero, Jeanne Moreau, Laurent Malet, Hanno Pöschl, Roger Fritz, Isolde Barth, Natja Brunckhorst, and Frank Ripploh. Directed by Rainer Werner Fassbinder. An unrestored poster with bright color and a clean overall appearance. It may have general signs of use, such as minor edge wear, light handling wear, soft to slight creases, primarily unobtrusive smudges and scuffs, or minute corner bends.
