July 28, 1934 - "Looking Backward" Column has much interest. From the Brockton Enterprise. Rehashing previous articles from Nantucket. Mentioned in article: Whaleship "Alexander" (Capt. George B. Chase), Whaler "Rose" and sick crew, Bark "Walter Claxton" capsizing.
July 4, 1931 - "The Ship on Which Herman Melville Sailed". The Whaleship "Acushnet" (sailed January 3, 1841). "Discovery of picture of "Acushnet", on which author of Moby Dicks sailed from New Bedford - Drawing in old log book at Widener Library at Harvard". Sister ship of Charles W. Morgan. Original sketch was found on the fly-leaf of a log book from 1845 voyage. (Also a photocopy).
