Selected log entries for "Grotius" (two full pages of notes). Two journals; information from WorldCat: The logbook of the ship Grotius details two voyages from Boston to Manila (Feb. 1839 to July 1840). Home port was Boston, owner was George Gardner, master and keeper was Charles F. Williams. It is the daily log, incomplete for the second voyage, describing wind, weather, location, inventory of ship's provisions and cargo, profile views and sketch of ship, illness on board, sightings of ships, and describes a solar eclipse. Grotius (Ship)Grotius (Ship) Logbook, The logbook of the ship Grotius details a voyage from Boston to Australia, New Zealand, and Brazil (July 1841 to Dec. 1842). Home port was Salem, Mass.; owner was N.L. Rogers & Brothers; master was Charles D. Mugford; log keeper was Agustus D. Rogers. It is a daily log describing wind, weather, location, and sightings of ships.
