Clipping of a picture of grist mill. Built sometime in the 18th century this abandonded grist mill on upper Mattapoisett River serves as a reminder of early Colonial days. The gears, of course, are later day replacements. Handwritten: Your father wants this returned so he can show it to Ellis. The mill he ? was above. Herring Weir opposite Marshall Howes.
