Description

Medium size coopered bucket with one hoop at the top and two hoops at the bottom, green stain or paint on the exterior, and a wooden handle. As described in "Early American Wooden Ware," the pegs are of an early style, with a smaller peg on the inside to keep them from pulling out. Attributed by donor to Dr. David Cannon of 40 Water Street.

The donor is a descendant of Dr. Cannon. This is one of three objects from the Cannon family home on water street that was donated.
