General Notes

Note

Notes: Made for influenza epidemic around World War I. One carried it at all times and sniffed it frequently (especially when out in public). Random House states that asafetida is a "gum resin having a bitter, acrid taste and an obnoxious odor, obtained from roots of several umbelliferous plants".
