Mail account of J.G. Morse including separately a pension claim for his widow Lucy Morse and proof of legitimate birth of his son Hubert, due to his being in the Regiment of the Mass 32 and transferred to the 21st Mass Volunteers. There is an handwritten statement written by George Ellis, medical examiner, attesting to the fact that Morse had been in low spirits and his body was found in Tremont Mill Pond with stones in his pockets. His death was certified as suicide by drowing May 11th, 1885. Also included is a postcard mailed to Jennison Morese announcing the annual dinner and election of officers of the 32nd Mass.
