Scope and Content

Plan of S. D. Warren's and Dr. Cabot's John M. Hammond farm on Mattapoisett Neck with the Taber and Hamlin lots adjoining on the east. Area of farm, including "Siah" places is 122 acres. Area of Taber lot 30 acres and 69 rods. Area of Hamlin lot is 49 ¾ acres. Total area is 202 acres and 9 rods. Distance by beach or shore is 180 rods. Total distance around outside lines, 795 rods or two miles, 155 rods. Surveyed by Noah Hammond in January 1889. Drawn on a scale of 20 rods to one inch. Warren and Cabot's original purchase 122 acres, including "Siah" place. 4 divisions "Siah" Place or Josiah Hammond land, "Diah" Place or Jedediah Hammond land. Taber lot of 30 acres, 69 rods and Hamlin lot of 49 acres, 120 rods.
