Description
Figured coverlet; undyed cotton and blue wool, double cloth. Center seam joins two panels. Hemmed on all sides. Central motif consists of a floral and bird design. Two large floral motifs are separating by an undulating vine that has two birds with long plumage perched on top eating berries. Of the two floral motifs, one resembles a mutli-petaled chrysanthemum and the other has scrolling petals with a starburst center. Borders contain weeping willow trees with a double rose, whereas the bottom border consists solely of weeping willows. Secondary borders on the outer edge have a diamond pattern.
