Description

Figured doubleweave coverlet with borders on three sides and no fringe. Two panels joined by a center seam. Navy wool with undyed cotton. Tulip medallion centerfield pattern; deer and trees border on sides; patriotic eagle border on bottom. Woven by Archibald Davidson in 1840.
