Description

Figured and fancy tied beiderwand coverlet with borders on three sides and self-fringe on both sides and bottom. Two panels joined by a center seam. Unevenly dyed navy blue wool with undyed cotton. Compass star and double rose centerfield pattern; elaborate swag border on both sides and bottom. Woven by Peter Lorenz in 1842.
