Description

Figured and fancy tied beiderwand coverlet with borders on three sides and self-fringe on both sides and bottom. Two panels joined by a center seam. Navy, red, and green wool with undyed cotton. Lilies and sunburst centerfield pattern; distelfink and rosebush border on sides; floral rose border on bottom. Woven by Christian Hinkel in 1850.
