Description

Overshot; navy, natural; two loom widths joined; no fringe; no corner blocks; squiggle border on 3 sides; rows of circles in centerfield. Wheel of fortune pattern. This geometric coverlet was woven in two panels, which are joined by a center seam. It has no fringe. The overshot (floatwork) weave structure uses combines an undyed cotton plainweave ground cloth with dark blue pattern weft. The "wheel of fortune" pattern combines X's and O's; it has four blocks and requires a 4-shaft loom.
