This figured & fancy coverlet was woven by Henry F. Stager in Mount Joy, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. The inscription along the bottom border reads "M by H Stager Mount Joy Lancaster Co. The coverlet was woven full-width with no center seam. It has a center medallion pattern with a wreath of oak leaves within an octagon within a rectangle. It has large borders of flowers and grapevines around all four sides.
