Description

Figured coverlet; undyed cotton and blue wool, double cloth. Center seams join two panels. Selvedges on both sides; top is hemmed by turning under, bottom has the two cloths turning towards one another and sewn closed. Central motif consists of large eight-petaled medallions flanked by diamond shaped leaf medallions. Border is a chain of stylized flowers and leaves framed by a line of zigzags and dots.
