Description

Figured and fancy coverlet tied double cloth (Beiderwand). Hemmed top, sides and bottom fringed. Central motif is a center diamond shaped medallion with a floral motif and a tiled centerfeld. Two panels joined by a center seam. Blue cotton with Red wool. Floral borders on four sides. Woven by Charles Wiand for Harriet Miller in 1846.
