Description
Figured coverlet; undyed cotton and blue wool, double cloth. Center seam joins two panels. Selvedges on either side. Hemmed top, finged bottom. Central motif consists of large floral medallions encircled by smaller flowers. These are separated from one another by an "X" shaped floral and leaf designs. The side borders contain sprigs of flowers facing each other. The bottom border has two pairs of birds in trees feeding each other. The corner blocks have an eagle with stars forming an arch above.
