This figured & fancy coverlet was woven for Edward Parker, likely in Pennsylvania. The four cornerblocks read "Edward Parker" with a grape leaf logo. The coverlet was woven full-with and has no center seam. It has a floral centerfield pattern of floral cross motifs in a botanical grid; the pattern repeats horizontally about four and a half times. It has a floral border on all four sides. The coverlet has horizontal color stripes of red, dark blue, and green wool on undyed cotton ground with applied fringe on the sides and bottom. The tied Beiderwand weave structure uses undyed cotton tie-down threads in a 2:1 warp ratio.Collection
