Geometric block twill coverlet made in Connecticut in the first quarter of the nineteenth century. The coverlet was woven in two panels, which are joined by a center seam. It has a large blocky pattern and no borders or fringe. The block twill weave structure combines undyed cotton warp with dark blue wool weft. The pattern has three blocks and requires a 12-shaft loom.Collection
