Figured coverlet; undyed and blue cotton and red, blue, and green wool, tied double cloth (Beiderwand). Center seam joins two panels. Hemmed top, fringed sides and bottom. Central motif consists of elliptical rose and leaf medallions alternating with a foliage motif. The border, which is on three sides, has a chain of roses and leaves and is framed by a line of small swags and tassels. Upon each rose within the border sits a bird.Collection
