Description

This figured & fancy coverlet has no cornerblocks. It was woven in two panels, which are joined by a center seam. It has a "double rose" centerfield pattern with octagonal floral secondary motifs, which repeats horizontally four times. It has distelfink borders with trees on the sides and tulip borders on the bottom. The doubleweave structure combines a layer of undyed cotton with a layer of dark blue and red wool. It has no self-fringe on the bottom.
