Figured coverlet; undyed cotton and blue wool, double cloth. Selvedges on either side; hemmed top and fringed bottom. Central motif is a large center medallion, the center of which is a quatrefoil. This is encircled by a floral design with an outer circle of grapes and grape leaves. On either corner a bird of paradise is perched upon branches coming out of a spray of flowers. The floral motif continues along the edges between the birds. Narrow border on all sides contains flowers.Collection
