This geometric coverlet was woven in two panels, which are joined by a center seam. It has no borders or fringe. It features the "cat track & snake trail" pattern. The overshot (floatwork) weave structure combines undyed cotton plainweave ground cloth with red wool pattern weft. The pattern has four blocks and requires a 4-shaft loom.Context
