CDP 26.5.70Description
This geometric coverlet was woven in two panels, which are joined by a center seam. It has self-fringe on the sides and no fringe on the bottom. It features a "table and four circles" pattern. The overshot (floatwork) weave structure combines undyed cotton plainweave ground cloth with navy, gold, and red wool pattern weft. The pattern has four blocks and requires a 4-shaft loom.Context
