Description

Figured and fancy doubleweave coverlet with borders on 4 sides and self-fringe on top and bottom. Two panels joined by a center seam. Navy wool with undyed cotton. Bird paradise centerfield pattern; bird border on all sides. Attributed to the Craig Family, woven in 1846.
