Description

Figured and fancy doubleweave coverlet with borders on 3 sides and applied fringe on sides and bottom. Two panels joined by a center seam. Navy wool with undyed cotton. Lilies of France centerfield pattern; eagle border on sides and bottom. Woven by Peter Sutphen Van Doren for C. Van Dyke in 1842.
