Description

Figured and fancy doubleweave coverlet with borders on 4 sides and no fringe. Two panels joined by a center seam. Navy wool with undyed cotton. Center medallion centerfield pattern; leafy border on all sides. Woven by David Van Eps in 1846. Embroidered with initials E.A.W. in lower right quadrant.
