Description

Figured and fancy doubleweave coverlet with borders on 4 sides and no fringe. Two panels joined by a center seam. Red wool with undyed cotton. Floral medallions centerfield pattern; eagle border on all sides; Washington on horseback in cornerblocks. Woven for Maria Williams in 1847.
