Description

Figured and fancy tied beiderwand coverlet with borders on 3 sides and sc a nt remains of self-fringe on sides and bottom. Two panels joined by a center seam. Navy and red wool with undyed cotton. Double rose centerfield pattern; grapevine border on sides; floral urn border on bottom. Woven by Benjamin Lichty ("BL") in 1842.
