Description

Figured and fancy tied beiderwand coverlet with borders on 3 sides and self-fringe on sides and bottom. Two panels joined by a center seam. Navy and red wool with undyed cotton. Double rose centerfield pattern; distelfink bird and tree border on sides and bottom. Attributed to Daniel Arnold, woven in 1844 with "Peace and Plenty" trademark.
