Description

Figured and fancy tied beiderwand coverlet with borders on 3 sides and self-fringe on the sides and applied fringe on the bottom. Two panels joined by a center seam. Navy, red, and yellow wool with undyed cotton. Double rose centerfield pattern; vine border on sides and bottom. Woven by Samuel Hippard in 1839 with nine flower logo in cornerblock.
