Framed photograph of Mary Louise St. Pierre Shepherd (1907-1996) of Lansing. She was admitted to the bar in Michigan in the 1930s, and was employed by the State of Michigan, including the Supreme Court. She worked directly with three justices including Justice North and Justice Brennan. She retired in 1972. She worked 30 years for the Supreme Court and previously 7 years for the Michigan Department of Labor, and worked briefly in the 1940s in Washington D.C.
