Handwritten provenance letter from John Patrick of County Antrim, Ireland. The text reads as follows:
Dervock, July 15th, 1925
To John Patrick, Dr
General Grover, Draper, Boot & Hardware Merchant,
Rev John R. Kenny visited the old McKinley homestead and received a brick from the fireplace used by the McKinley family over one hundred years ago, also a turf (peat) spade of same antiquity and a shovel, sickle and ledge hook.
