Description

This ornament is part of the White House Historical Association's series of collectible ornaments. It is the third in the series. The ornament is "a miniature replica of the north facade of the White House in the time of John Adams." john Adams was the first President to occupy the White House. This gold-plated Christmas ornament was created for the Christmas tree that stood in the Blue room of the White House during the 1983 Christmas season. A gold hanging cord is attached. The ornament includes a four page informational insert telling about the ornament and the White House Historical Association. The ornament is boxed with three other ornaments. The box is red, with gold lettering. The lid of the box reads The White House Historical Association Ornament Set Collection" and has outlined sketches of each of the four ornaments (from the years 1981-1984) on it. The box is lined with a liner that is molded in four sections and covered with red velveteen. There is a small white bar code sticker near the bottom middle. "Visit www.whitehousehistory.org" is printed in white letters underneath.
