Irwin Hood "Ike" Hoover served first as electrician, usher, and later Chief Usher at the White House, serving under Presidents Benjamin Harrison, Grover Cleveland, William McKinley, Theodore Roosevelt, William Howard Taft, Woodrow Wilson, Calvin Coolidge, Warren Harding, Herbert Hoover, and Franklin Roosevelt. Ike Hoover died on September 14, 1933, holding the position of Chief Usher until that time. this is a recollection of his time spent in the White House. The book also contains 25 illustrations.
