Description

Provenance note for small gavel. Dark wood. Peen of the gavel has a flaw in the wood on one side. Wood has also been broken off and glued back together on the same side. The note reads as follows: This gavel was made from wood from the William McKinley home located at Canton, Ohio. It was given to me by Mrs. Ruth Loutzenheiser, widow of Al Loutzenheiser. This gavel was used by Al when he was presiding officer of the Foreman's Cloub of Canton. Presented by Ruth to me on January 31, 1959
