Display of "Our Schoolhouse Flag" button. The button is gold, 0.75 inches in diameter. There is an imagfe of an American flag, in color with the words "Our Schoolhouse Flag" underneath. Mr. Bechtel wrote the following on a white mat under the image:
"This little button with the wording 'Our Schoolhouse Flag' is the button of the A.P.A. (American Protective Association).
The A.P.A. was in operation from 1888-1911, and its slogan was 'Little Red schoolhouse on the Hill.'"
The button and word are framed in a 9.75 x 12.75 inch wood frame, with glass. The back of the frame is plain.Collection
