Postcard booklet of eight black and white McKinley-related postcards. This is the seventh card. The front shows an image of "1901 Knights Templar at Wm. McKinley's Funeral, His Last Words: 'God's Will, Not Ours, be done.'" The signature "William McKinley" is on the lower right corner.
The back features space for handwriting an address and a marked place for postage on the right. Text on the left reads:
"Whereas: on the 6th day of September, at a time when this nation was at peacewith all the world, when no internal strife marred our happiness, and when Prosperity gladdened our Republic, President William McKinley was mortally wounded by the rithless hand of an assassin, from which injuries he died September 14, 1901, and Resolved: That in his untimely death, the Nation lost a wise and conscientious ruler, an able statesman, a National pilot, whose steady hand and unerring eye safely guided the "Ship of State" through troubled waters and rocks of international discord. --Canton Commandery, No. 38."Collection
