This is a two piece banner and heart-shaped brass metal mourning pin. On a metal banner, is the inscription printed in gold on black "In Memory," with a decorative fan above and below. The metal heart is attached to the banner by a single chain link. In an arc shape, above a sketch of McKinley in the center of the heart, is the inscription, " Of Our President Wm McKinley." Below his picture are the words reading, "Assassinated Sept. 6,, 1901. Died Sept. 14 1901." The back has a pin for attachment, is plain, with no markings.Collection
