This is a two part commemorative medallion of the McKinley Monument. The top part of this silver medallion is a fleur de lis design, with a picture of McKinley in the center and his name "Wm McKinley" below. Above his picture is a wreath of laurel leaves. On either side are fronds etched into the metal and words reading "Oct" on the left and "16th" on the right with some scroll work at the bottom. Suspended from the fleur de lis, by a single chain link, is the second part of the medallion. The top is arched with a banner and words reading "P &, Grand Lodge, A. M." The sides have some scroll work and curve slightly inward and the bottom is curved upward with words reading "810 - Canton Ohio - 1907." In the middle is the McKinley Monument, located in Canton, Ohio, with columns on either side holding up two round globes. Above the monument is the "All-seeing-eye" with rays extending out, and a compass and square with the letter "G" in between the two. The reverse side of the medallion has a pin for attaching and is otherwise plain with no visible markings of identification.Collection
