Village of Auburndale, Mass.
"Originally called Pigeonville, Auburndale was given its present name in 1845 by the Reverend C.D. Pigeon (4) (after whose family the village was presumably originally named).
Auburndale lies along the banks of the Charles River, and shares a border with the neighboring city of Waltham.
Auburndale was home to Norumbega Park, one of the successful "Trolley Parks" of the last century, and home to the legendary Totem Pole Ballroom." *Collection
