Description

Part of the Presidents from Ohio series. ""Since the Gay Fad Studios were located in Lancaster, OH from 1945-1962, it's not surprising that Gay Fad produced numerous Ohio commemorative pieces, the most famous being the "Presidents from Ohio" tumbler set that honors the eight U.S. Presidents born in Ohio, the "Cradle of Presidents." The front of each President's frosted tumbler features his portrait, a facsimile of his signature, and his year(s) in office with "Presidents From Ohio" above, all in brown, while the back shows his birthplace in brown with colorful accents. Warren G. Harding - 1921-1923 (America's 29th president; his election in 1920 was the first time women could vote nationwide and also the first to be covered on the radio; died in California in August 1923 while returning home from a trip to Alaska; succeeded by his Vice President Calvin Coolidge.) Tumbler stands 5-1/8" tall with a diameter of 2-3/4" at the rolled rim and not quite 2-3/8" at the base. " Retrieved 12.13.2016 from http://www.santafetradingpost.com/gay_fad_1b1.html#3
