Description

A pair of knitted slippers made by and given as a gift to Mrs. Minnie St. John from Ida McKinley. The slippers are beige in color with a lavender silk ribbon woven through the top and tied in a bow at the front. A band of elastic is woven around the inside of the slipper to hold them to the foot. They soles are made of leather. Mrs. McKinley not only made slippers for friends and relatives, but donated them to charitable organizations for fund raisers to be auctioned off.
