Scope and Content

This item is a postcard with one black and white image of President McKinley in an oval with the word, "Prosperity," an image of the White House, a sun, a bridge, the Capitol building, State of Liberty, an eagle carrying a flag, and flowers. It features a black border and the words, "In Memoriam September 14th, 1901." There is text written on the front and back of the postard. The postcard is addressed to Adelaide Schockey in Wheeling, West Virginia. It is from Emilie [Kreutzburg]. The text on the front reads, "Dear Adelaide I am here in Wheeling with Grandma Schockey Yours Emilie K." On the back, there is an ink postage stamp for Wheeling, W. VA. There is also a green paper one cent stamp with Benjamin Franklin on it.
