This item is a colored postcard of the Wilcox House, Buffalo, N.Y. The house is white with pillars and covered in ivy. It has an American flag hanging from the front and fabric draped off the pillars. There are men standing in front of the house. The Ansley Wilcox Residence on Delaware Ave., Buffalo, N.Y. is where Vice-President Roosevelt took the oath of office Sept. 14th, 1901 after the assassination and death of President McKinley. The back is addressed to Mr. Frank Reynolds of Guilford, New York. The message says, "He started out to do business from this {illegible word}, but I guess he'll quit the business this fall. Signed what appears to be {J.E.}.
