Scope and Content

This item is a colored postcard with an image of President McKinley's vault in Canton, Ohio. There is a group of guards stationed in front of the vault. This vault was the original vault of President McKinley before his body was moved to the Canton memorial after construction. On the back, postcard has a one cent stamp of Benjamin Franklin. It has a postmark from Massillon, Ohio from Jan 15 1908. The postcard is addressed to, "Miss Ceridwen Thomas Massillon O. from Mrs. Barnes" It discusses not being able to make a lesson due to moving and wanting to reschedule the lesson at another time. Published for Kawin & Co., Chicago for S.H. Knox & Co., Canton, O.
