Scope and Content

This item is a black and white postcard with an image of President McKinley's tomb in Canton, Ohio. There are guards stationed in front of the door to the tomb. The tomb is decorated in flowers and there are people standing in front of it. There is also an oval portrait of President McKinley on the upper left hand corner. This tomb was the original tomb of President McKinley before his body was moved to the Canton memorial after construction. The text, "Hello, So. So. H.H.G." is written on the front right margin. On the back, postcard required a one cent stamp and has a postmark from Salem Oct 1 1906. The postcard is addressed to "Miss Leora Randels. E. Main St Salem O." Published by C.G. Deuble, Canton, Ohio.
