Scope and Content

This item is a black and white postcard with an image of President McKinley's tomb in Canton, Ohio. There are guards stationed in front of the door to the tomb. The tomb is decorated in flowers. There is also an oval portrait of President McKinley on the upper left hand corner. This tomb was the original tomb of President McKinley before his body was moved to the Canton memorial after construction. On the back, postcard has a one cent stamp of Benjamin Franklin and has a postmark from Canton Mar 20 1907. The postcard is addressed to "Mrs Nora Stevens Deerfield Ohio." Published by Emile Chmelitzki, Canton and Akron, Ohio, U.S.A.
