Scope and Content

This item is a black and white postcard with a drawing of President McKinley's tomb in Canton, Ohio. There are guards stationed in front of the door to the tomb. The tomb is decorated in flowers. There are people standing in front of the tomb. This tomb was the original tomb of President McKinley before his body was moved to the Canton memorial after construction. On the back, postcard has some writing. Addressed to "Mrs. O.J. Stakes 1025. Walnut St. Canal Dover Ohio." Postmark is Wilmot Ohio Jan 31 1911. Printed in Germany. Split back for message and address. One cent stamp of Benjamin Franklin.
