An issue of Leslie's Weekly Illustrated, Vol. LXXXIX No. 2298. It was copyrighted by the Judge Company on 110 Fifth Avenue and published in New York. Printed at the top of the issue is "Don't Miss our Dewey Jubilee Number Next Week, With A Douple-Page Supplement in Nine Colors, of The Admiral Drawn by Howard Chandler Christy From the Latest And Best Photograph? On the front cover there is a picture of soldiers on horseback with the title First Intimation of the Enemy. The caption reads "An Incident of the Capture of Calumpit- While Major Bell, with two troops of Cavalry was advancing toward Quingua, the Filipinos suddenly opened fire, killing and wounding a number of our brave cavalrymen." The cover was drawn by Sydney Adamson.
